Ford's 'Mustang-inspired' 2020 electric compact SUV will have a 370-mile range.

Ford has been dropping recent hints about their new plug-in SUV , which might be named "Mach-E" after the Mustang Mach 1. It even confirmed the vehicle's existence to Autoblog and tweeted an electric-blue Mustang logo on the same day as Tesla's Model Y reveal.

Ford says the SUV will have a 370-mile range, and fast-charging capability.

Ford is dead serious about its electrification plans. The Blue Oval company wants to have a hybrid, PHEV, or all-electric version of its every model, and, in addition, it will launch a number of completely new nameplates with electric powertrains.

That 370 mile range is some European test we don't use in the US. Ford has confirmed a 300 mile range for the new SUV... which is pretty good... hopefully, they won't dilly dally on showing it to the world. I'm hoping for a competitive SUV here and not some "there, I did it" kind of crap.
