here it comes .... Atlantic hurricane season begins next week. Here's what AccuWeather forecasters predict that the 2021 Atlantic hurricane season will result in 16-20 named storms, including seven to 10 hurricanes. Of the storms projected to reach hurricane strength, three to five are predicted to become major hurricanes (Category 3 or higher storms that have maximum sustained winds of 111 mph or greater). AccuWeather’s forecast, when compared to that 30-year average, indicates that 2021 is expected to be an above-normal season for tropical activity in the Atlantic. A normal season is considered to have 14 storms, seven hurricanes and three major hurricanes. Last year, 14 hurricanes formed, and seven of those reached the major hurricane threshold, and, upon further review, no hurricanes last year reached Category 5 force. ... the above info was condensed from this link ===> http://

with all of the above in mind, we can use this thread to keep all of our related conversations in a single thread ....

I live in Lake Charles, LA. Last year we took two direct hits from hurricanes Laura and Delta. I'm still trying to get a new roof on and repairs the rest of the house, workshop, garage and greenhouse. After the canes we had a hailstorm, a severe freeze and a flood. We here are Louisiana strong and will survive whatever nature throws at us. One third of the city was severely damaged by the canes and a fourth suffered broken pipes from the freeze. There were hundreds of people put out of their homes due to the flood.
