Hello,
I have tracked this for a while and am really looking forward to getting one but will I fit?
  • I am 6'-0" and 245 lbs, my head hits the roof on many of the cars I have test drove.
  • Is there a place I can sit in one of these? I live in North East PA but travel a bit.

You should not have any problems! I am 6'4" and 285 lbs. and had no problems with headroom when I sat in the P4. Had plenty of side to side room also.

I'm 6' 2", and when I sat in the P4 I found the driver's seat to be more than roomy enough. To me, it seemed that the driver has more room in the Elio than in many SUVs! The back seat in the P4 was plenty wide enough but the roof was a few inches too short for my liking...however, the P5 gained about 2" of headroom for the back seat, and the E-series/production car will have another 2" or so beyond that, so I'm not worried about being a passenger either.

You must have an oddly long trunk for 6 feet to be an issue. You are not uncommonly tall so there should not be a single mass produced car in the US that you cannot fit in and not hit the roof. I am 5' 11", so an inch shorter but own a 3rd gen Miata, have owned a MINI Cooper S in the past and drove plenty of Smarts and not had an issue with any of them. I can hit my head on the top of my Miata getting in and out if I try, but I can do that in an SUV too. Once seated though, never been an issue.

But as others have said, the Elio should be no problem whatsoever.

I'll agree with Seth here... My head (I'm 6'3") is closer to the roof of my F-350 than it was in the Elio P-4. I don't think it would be different in the P-5, E-1, or #3898. It actually has a lot of room though it looks too narrow. In reality, there is probably more space around your body than in most vehicles (except your right shoulder is closer to the window than it is in a conventional (US stat) vehicle.
