Hey Elio’ers! The tour team celebrated Labor Day Weekend in good ol’ Colorado. It was a great trip with a lot of hometown support, considering Paul grew up in Westminster, CO and attended high school in Aurora. We even had our biggest mall event to date, but we’ll get to that later.
We kicked off our visit at NBC 9 News Denver. We set up the P4 in their studio (pictured below) where our Vice President of Sales Jerome Vassallo was interviewed live on-air. The high-mileage matched with our low cost was a huge hit with the station, to the point they proclaimed the Elio “a car that could sweep the country!” Plus, our “Bronco” orange fit right in. Next, we spent Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the FlatIron Crossing Mall in Broomfield, CO. The line to sit in and experience the P4 was the longest we’ve seen. It blocked Crate & Barrel (safe to say they weren’t happy about it) and overflowed outside, onto the deck, approximately 100 people deep. Some of the folks that came out to see us were futureliowners who went “All In" at our Denver stop last year and wanted to see the progress that was made. Others have recently heard of us and wanted to check it out in person before making their reservation. Each stop we make there are more and more people who already know about Elio Motors. On Labor Day, we headed to downtown Denver for A Taste of Colorado. Over 500,000 people are in attendance over the course of the festival. The only thing that outnumbers the people is the amount of food. From giant turkey legs and fried gator, to giant pizza slices, roasted corn and jambalaya. Whatever your heart desires it’s all covered. People were happy to take a break from the food and music to take a look at the three-wheeler that was equally a feast for the senses.
And of course, we couldn’t leave Colorado without capturing some of the beautiful scenery…
