I like to keep the Bex Project free from my clutter, even if it has some cross-over thoughts.
In this case, the Mongrel has interesting innnovations in the front end solving suspension and streeing challenges for FWD configuration.
This image below, of the front end of an AWD configuration, shows some similar bits and parts. But it is an EV drive for racing using Tesla donor parts. This is a VW clone body, so the width is not as challeging as the Bex, but it could have been tightened into a smaller space using some Bex solutions.
The other thing I notice, use of leading steering links, rather than trailing. I've not seen that implemented elsewhere other than some of my own drawings and concepts.
Also notice the extremely minimal AArms. Likely in tempered hi-carbon, or even titanium. I'm not familliar with available racing hardware. Is that off the shelf?
Any other interesting front ends any of you have seen? (dbl-click on image to see the youtube.)
(BTW, adding a linked image is better than just the URL, since stupid youtube vids go away too often. At least you still have an image!)
This is also a solo seater, which shows you in the video some of the trouble you get for entry/exit where there is a distance to the outside edge. Well, and that there is a high side-wall to step over.
