Some of this has all ready been touched on here and there. This is posted to help members learn more of what goes into a crash test and what goes on during a crash. Theoretically, this should help members posting on the subject look and sound more informed, including myself.

Survivors of serious car crashes often say time appears to slow down in the moments around the impact and that they can recall the event in extraordinary detail.

In reality, the crash is often over before the human brain has registered the incident, and it's only by later replaying it in their minds that crash victims achieve such vivid recollections.

Well, I was in a wicked one back in '81. A buddy and I were heading to the store at night, and a '68 Satelite blew a stop sign and T-boned me in my '73 Vega doing around 40mph. As soon as I caught sight of his headlights bearing down on us EVERYHTHING went into slo-mo. Luckily for us he nailed me square in the right front wheel instead of the passenger door or I'm certain neither one of us would be here today.
