Cigarette Lighter And Non-smoker ?

Somewhere on the dash will the Elio have a cigarette lighter receptacle.
Am a non-smoker so why do I ask ?
Have a small portable air compressor for possible low tire pressure or a flat.
Compressor needs to be plugged into vehicle cigarette lighter.

I believe in today's environment, to be PC, they are now called 12v power ports. Same thing, but without the actual lighter.

if they don't offer a factor installed one, adding one is an easy mod .... you can even get all the parts needed at Pep Boys .... we need at least one (Garmin GPS) and would like to have two (phone charger)

That link to an Elio Motors Tech Talk article about the interior and interior options is very good information direct from Elio Motors.

The current prototype actually has one 12v outlet in the front and one in the back along with an extra USB charging port in the front. We don't know if all of that will be standard however they will at least be available as options.

The key, for me, is to wire at least one of the ports to be connected directly to the battery so it has power when the vehicle is off. I rewired one in my Tundra like this, so I can charge a phone either at work or while camping. I think a port with a little on/off switch would be cool as well, but I guess pulling the charger out of the port isn't all that difficult.

EDIT:
When I say directly to the battery, I don't really mean that. It still goes through the fuse panel, but to a fuse that is 'always hot'.

The beauty of aftermarket, you can make almost any car do almost anything you want as long as you have the $$$! I'm looking into a flux capacitor with a Mr Fusion for a powersource... Roads? You don't need roads where we're going.
