Up $500, a little over 7% over how many years? I don't see a problem with that.
I do have a question though about he $1000 I put down in my commitment. I didn't expect it to be held in escrow but to be used to help finance the enterprise. Am I correct that $1K will be deducted from the vehicle price when my Elio is delivered?
Correct. You basically made a down payment on your Elio of $1,000. Elio will take off another $500 if you went all-in early enough and now, they will take off another $300 if you commit to purchasing. Plus, they are 'locking in' the price so you now know how much you'll need. In your case, you'll probably need $5,200 (or be able to finance that amount) when you go pick up your car.

Vietvetx2 --- That $1000 plus the $250 or $500 discount is yours. Of course that comes off the price at delivery. If you do the electronic signature commitment to purchace you also get another $300 off the "locked in" price of $7300.

One item I don't think anyone has picked up on yet (probably because everyone has been running around in a Code Red panic state of confusion) is that I think it's great that besides giving us a new transportation option, signing bonuses, additional bonuses for the early adopters, another $300 bonus for simply stating one addition "I Want It", t-shirt and priceless bumper sticker (ok, maybe not priceless), shares in the company that have almost doubled already, on a new "car" that is going to be almost 1/2 of what all other new cars, Paul has made sure that those that have backed him are rewarded.
What other car company has ever done that for anyone?

So 3 simple words: Thank you Paul.
I love people with a spirit of gratitude rather than entitlement.
