Continental Kit For The Elio

Hey Elio Guys

What would you think of a Continental kit for the back of the Elio? Only problem would be size of the tires being different on the back.

I think it's a reference with a trunk mounted spare tire.

That would be interesting since the front and rear tires are of different sizes

If you were to do one, wouldn't you just size it for whichever tire size is smallest?

I would think a small tire that would fit both front and back. If it were to be painted the same as the body it would look cool IMO

Diameter of a 175/65 R15 is about 24"; the rear width of the Elio is around 28"
So a kit would be wall-to-wall and either block the tail light or if you put it on top, you wouldn't be able to open the trunk.
If you did a proportionate one, to the body size it would look tiny; kind of like a flat zit on the back end.

Maybe the entire rear skirt could be replaced with a spare tire receptical molded into it, along with some more attractive lines.
