Electric questions and concerns

First one is the electric will require a huge Tax for owning it here even if you only drive it a few moles a year you pay like you drive it everyday .
Second will be heat and defrosters. How will the generate heat. All the site says is

• Air Conditioning / Heater / 2 adjustable vents / Defrost front and side windows

Heat requires power. That power reduced battery life fast. VW tried an exhaust heater that did not work. Some tried LP type heaters with little luck.
I would rather had a Gas engine.
