I don't know how much of the plant Elio expected to take advantage of when producing 125k/yr, but if this deal doesn't impact their plans...it would probably take some of the heat off of Elio needing to start production ASAP.

Elio is renting 139,000 sq. ft. out of the 1,500,000 sq. ft. available. It's doubtful that the 125,000 sq. ft. Hyundai is renting will have any impact at all... except to bring Elio's seat manufacturer a lot closer to them! (Hyundai is making Elio's seats)

Yeah, but the question is: Does Elio currently hold enough space to build 125-250k/yr?

I know next to nothing, possibly less than nothing, about space requirements for manufacturing a specific number of vehicles.

Simple answer - yes. They have the space GM was using to assemble the Hummer and THAT line could go fast enough to put out one vehicle every 52 seconds though we ran it at 54 seconds... back in '98.
