Farewell Ziggy

If you haven't heard Ziggy Stardust died today.
He's better known as David Bowie
He was 69
After fighting a battle with cancer for 18 months, he lost today.

Farewell Ziggy, you were a master and creator of some of the best music ever.

I saw that. Very sad to see another 'legend' go. Not sure if Motorhead is/was your cup of tea, but Lemmy Kilmister passed like a week or so ago.

Not so much; I followed a real mix of music growing up, beside Bowie during his Ziggy stage, I was into Pink Floyd, Soft Machine, Yes, Boston Pops, Genesis, and others that weren't really main stream until they were forced into doing commercial music (like Yes and Pink Floyd).
I grew up in South Chicago through the 60's and early 70's which was home to a lot of bands at the time; moved up to Seattle before the grunge era; back when Heart was a bar band and Mudhoney and Mother Love Bone were just starting; moved to the south Bellevue WA. right when Queensrÿche was still practicing in the garage about 3 blocks away from my house, used to go over there all the time.

I used to hang with a lot of different groups; and they were happy to have me there you might say I was from a different section of the "entertainment" scene.

(And the only one I said I hung out with was Queensrÿche, the others I would just follow their music and not the band)
