After my gas mower lost the transmission to the self-propelled wheels. I bought a 60v battery operated self-propelled. It takes two batteries to do the whole yard, but I've only used it once (The first time). Since then my wife has used it every week and just loves it. Nice and quiet and she gets exercise walking behind it. We have 3/4 acre so it takes about an hour to mow. I don't mind mowing, but she doesn't give me a chance. She's a keeper. (The wife and the mower).

Since the most I've noticed on my light bill is $12, I don't bother with it :D

    BTW, gas is $3.09 here.

I filled mine up today @ $3.04 for top shelf fuel. 1st time since April. Daily charging is about 80 cents a day. Almost a year I've had mine and it still trips me out every time I get in it!

My Elio 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited w/318 V8 4 x 4 is doing fine after 21k miles I placed on it since September 2016 (Total miles 151,200). ..... I have been visiting the North American region by jeep since May 28th 2017 over land to: Alaska, Canada, Upper mid-west, Northwest USA to Phoenix, Arizona, then to Baja, South California Mexico to New Orleans, Louisiana, to Beloit, Wisconsin where I began June 30th 2018. I had up to 18.9 MPG with the carrier on the top and an extra 500 lbs. of equipment. Photo of my Elio taken in Baja South California, Mexico April 8th, 2018

I will be leaving the Beloit, Wisconsin area for the Phoenix, Arizona area September 2nd about 5 am. You can help me load up the rest of my things at 4 am and then I will strap you across the hood of the jeep until we get to Phoenix. Afterwards I will untie you and expect you to unload what you loaded back in the Beloit area. You will be given water during the 1700 mile ride on the hood.

    LOL
I just got an ego lawnmower myself. I was going to get a spare battery for it while at the store and next to the spare batteries, they had a string trimmer that used the same battery. The string trimmer was about $30 more than buying a battery by itself and IT came with a battery AND a second charger and those chargers are neat. They have fan cooling and seem to do a good job keeping the battery cool while it charges. We really like both items though my wife complains that the handle won't go low enough to let her push it under the trampoline. So, the gas mower gets to mow under there because that's easier than untying and moving the trampoline. Yes, in Nebraska you can either tie down your trampoline or watch it fly.
