Yep, 'tis all based on your current situation and your wants.

For the 25% cut off date, I would lean toward that not being a big part of your decision. Elio Motors most likely will give a 1-month or more notice on the 25% going away.

Some tips: if you go for the $1000 all-in, you'll be roughly around #19,000 once they send you your Spot-in-line number. Our guess is that would get you your vehicle within the first 4 months of production. Others can chime in if 4 months is not a good guess.

If you go for a lower amount of all-in, you'll fall in line accordingly, but won't get the Spot-in-line number.

If you go for a want-in, you can always get your money back and will be quite close to the back of the line. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but as others get their all-in reservations after you, they'll step in line in front of you.
