When they tweeted this one out I had to laugh and reply. Said I would wear Elio headphones all the time while driving my ELIO.

I kind of get it. MTX being a supplier for Elio. Helping boost brand recognition for both companies seems to make sense. I would rather have the headphones than the t-shirt I got that was to small to wear from day one.

Without the supplier-tie-in, it would be pretty cheesy. Once you see that the product is from a supplier for the vehicle, it makes more sense. they should make sure that the fact that MTX is supplying the audio for the Elio is prominently displayed whenever the deal is advertised.

So since they are giving these to the new/lastest "all in" buyers, when are they going to send them to those of us who have been "all in" for years?

They are giving them the headphones and 25% Bonus; the people that went All In years ago got 50% + Long timers got additional Bonuses.
What would you rather have, a $500 Bonus or $250 Bonus and a set of fair Headphones that are worth retail $149.00?

I agree that just giving the headphones to existing $500 or $1000 all-ins isn't really necessary. Their plan to offer them at a steep discount to those with existing non-refundable reservations at that level seems like a fair concession since that wasn't part of the original deal.

Extending the offer to upgrades to at least the $1000 level, if not both, would probably be worthwhile too. Of course that all depends on how many they can get. If it's only a couple thousand, then it seems like a waste if they almost all go to existing reservation holders and EM would be best served by sticking with the promotion for just new higher tier all-ins.
