the tour is scheduled to come to Raleigh, NC on Dec 12 ..:).. depending on which mall they choose, that would put it 20 - 50 minutes from the house .... unfortunately, there is no way we can make it that weekend ..:(.. the week before it is scheduled to be in Charlotte, NC and we are planning to drive down and back on Saturday .... for us that will involve about 360 miles and take up most of the day .... if for some reason going to Charlotte should fall through, the next stop for the tour is in Richmond, Va .... we are holding going there in reserve, that would be about a 380 mile round trip

I'm making the roughly 3 hour drive from Baltimore with my dad to see the Elio in Richmond. It will likely take longer due to pre-Christmas traffic and we are not staying the night. I anticipate a long line so we will leave at about 6am and hopefully be in line around 10am. We will try to hit the road around 2 to be back in time for dinner.

I'm in college now and my last final of the semester is December 19th. I'm only home for a few weeks so Richmond will likely be my only option to see the Elio before I buy

If I had known about the Elio back in July I would have gladly made the four hour drive to Tacoma. Alas nothing else scheduled in my neck of the woods. Might just have to wait until delivery. Can't get here soon enough. I don't just want this 'autocycle', I need it!

hang in there, they might just be coming near you (next year)- I drove 300 each way yesterday-, didn't even know of the car last spring, when it was shown "down the block" (15 miles away!!)

While standing in line today in Jacksonville a conversation began, ending in, "That would be a good thread".

How far did I go and what would I to do sit in an Elio?

My day began today calling in sick from work, driving my motorcycle in the rain to meet another owner at his private airplane at 7:00am. Taking off at 7:30a,m. Flying just over two hours until we landed in Jacksonville. Rented a car and drove 20 minutes to the mall and jumping in line. Departed at 3:00pm. Dropped the rental car. Flew back to in very sketchy weather. Landed at 6:00pm. Got on the motorcycle and drove home in the rain.

Was it worth it?
HELL YES!
Would I do it again?
ABSOLUTELY!

Thanks number 6901. Can't wait to go pick them up and hit the Tail of the Dragon.

What have you done?
