How To Influence State Legislators

Does anybody have experience contacting their state legislators about licensing the Elio as a car/autocycle rather than motorcycle? A bill is being introduced in Idaho and I am looking for suggestions before contacting the members of the house committee. I think there are only 5 or 6 of us in ID who have gone all in, so we could use the support and experience from those of you in other states.

I have contacted my states reps multiple time. I work with a local state representative also. I would say the best bet is to call or email your local rep and voice your opinion. Then get others to do the same.
