I doubt that it has any impact; they were doing what they were told by their bosses on a product for the bosses.
And the biggest difference is diesel, where as the Elio is gas; gas doesn't have the same problems for meeting emissions as diesel.
Besides, Coss, isn't the bulk of their work for Elio done already?
Except for small tuning tweaks, yes; all of the design and prototype builds finished some time ago. The P5 has the IAV in it.
I don't know if Linamar has started doing any work on it yet, or if they are going to wait until they have the US site built; they could be doing some work on it now up in Canada.

No. Absolutely not. That scandal reaches back to 2009.
EDIT: OOPS. I thought you asked if IAV was done with the Elio BEFORE the scandal. IAV has been cheating for quite a while.
I still doubt that they did the same corner cutting on other clients; unless the other clients are asking them to do it.
EM is not in a position to try and cheat on anything; everything they do is going to get the microscopic inspections.
Do you know if the Linamar deal was ratified? last I heard they were in a 60-day "work out the details or forget it" period, and I haven't heard how that turned out.
