My wife just told me she received a call on her cell phone from an investment broker. He wanted to talk to me about investing in something or other. She asked him how he got her number and he said he had the personal info of every one who had made a deposit on an Elio, I don't know about you guys, but I don't think much of Elio giving out my info to salesmen...

I wouldn't automatically attribute this to Elio. It could be the person calling is using information from another source like if you bought Elio stock using Broker X, the caller could just be using Broker X's information and parcing out people who backed Elio.

I remember when the reservation holders were contacted by StartEngine wholesale.
There were some people that were upset about that when it happened.
I'd look at StartEngine as a potential source of the leak.

But then again...

There were third party fly-by-night brokers calling then too.
That was even before the A+ offering. They were soliciting qualified investors.
And they said it was at the bequest of Elio Motors because we had reserved or shown interest.

Those same brokers were telling unqualified investors to call them when the Reg A+ launched.

The personal information of reservation holders...
Should have been COMPLETELY private from the beginning.

As far as calls, I quit answering my phone years ago.
I've got people from India and Pakistan calling to offer me web services every day.
Anyone legit I want to talk to will leave a message and I'll call them back.
Life if much simper and much more peaceful that way.

We never bought any Elio stock so that's not how they got our info.
