Hello,
Was just checking out the new threads here and I got a "Malicious Spyware Warning" when I tried to go to page 3 of a thread. What's this about?
Kasparsky's software that i use for anti spyware and spamware does that when ever there is a bad site of program found! whenever it pops on my screen I delete if i can or I by pass if I can if Not then I will close out of the program, shutdown and reboot my entire system :-0 can not be too careful

When was the last time you did a full scan on your computer?
I usually use Malwarebytes.org or there was another one someone else recommended called SuperAntiSpyware.com

The Malwarebytes is free, but you have to wade through a few layers to get to that part, same with the SAS.
Download either or both programs, do a shut down, pull the power out for at least 3 minutes, plug it back in and power on.
Run the scan and if it does find something (which it more than likely will) delete the infections; quarantining is just a delay on what you really need to do. Once the scan is complete, do the restart to make sure it's happy again, than do the shut down, power out, ON, and use as normal.

I did IT for over 25 years so I've had to deal with computers once or three million times. The power out allows everything to "flush" from memory, and all other components that hold information. Not something that has to be done on a regular basis; just good to do when you're trying to solve a problem.

Great, that's the same thing I do, but I got in early enough that I purchased a number of the life time licenses before they stopped selling them.
For AV I use ESET, best AV I have found on the market today.

Even though I run MB real time scan I still find that I have to do a full system scan about once a month.
I've had it happen more than once that it will find something in the scan that it didn't find during the real time scan.
Typically one of the time bomb infections. They wait until you restart your machine X amount of times before they unpack.

That's interesting! I too have done deskside support of computers at work and then from a computer services store on site and remotely for businesses and homes. I haven't heard of an infection like that. Eeesh.

Yay to the IT crowd. I do network management and repair professionally. I tinker with PC and electronics in my spare time.

Favorite operating system now is Linux Mint 17 :D.

took my free acer5570 from XP running paperweight to legitimately useful laptop I'm under 30 minutes.
