Cripes A'Mighty was flown by Major George Preddy who was the leading active ace in the European Theater when he was tragically killed by friendly AA fire on Christmas Day 1944! His younger brother, Bill, was KIA by enemy ground fire on the last mission flown by his 339th Fighter Group, April 17, 1945.
