Christmas Festivities Welcome Visitors

‘Tis the season for holiday fun in and around Shreveport-Bossier! The Red River District’s Holiday Market in downtown Shreveport will be held, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., each Saturday, Dec. 5-19. The free, family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, food trucks, street performers and vendor booths. The Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival in Oil City will be held on Saturday, Dec. 5, with an all-new carnival, vendor booths, live music and more beginning at 3:30 p.m. in Earl Williamson Park. The Christmas on Caddo Fireworks Festival will culminate with a huge fireworks display over Caddo Lake at 6:30 p.m. Admission to the festival is free.

On Saturday, Dec. 12, the Heritage Village Square in Benton will host the annual Benton Christmas on the Square Festival and Parade. Vendors, food booths, live music and more will be available, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., with a parade at 3 p.m. Parking is available at the Bossier Parish Courthouse in Benton with a free shuttle to Heritage Village Square. Admission is free.

Well, with a 5971 number, I might be one of the first to post on how an Elio handles in the 'foul weather', heading back to St. Louis.
That's okay though. Memphis is on the way home, and I'm going to be chowing on wicked good BBQ [might even spend a couple days there] rain, sleet, snow, or shine.
