I just "Googled" Elio prototypes/ E series builds to see if there were any current photos posted on the internet.

I found this...did Paul actually say 25 Elio prototypes "are now" in construction in the fall of 2013?

Actually Paul, Jerome and Branden have all been referenced as saying 25 prototypes are in some stage of play from around mid 2013 to early 2014 when they stopped saying anything about that until just now. Speculations about what was/is going on range from: 'it's all a big scam' to 'they built them but did not perform well and were destroyed' and everything in between. My personal thoughts are somewhere between those extremes.

Paul also said in a 2014 CES interview that they were on track for the 2015 production schedule, just three days before making the production delay announcement. Why even bring it up? What difference does it make? It doesn't matter what Paul said prior to what is being said today, " we are currently on track to the Q2016 production target.

I've read more than one news article that reported something along the lines of "crash testing has been completed and the Elio recieved a 5 star rating". I wouldn't be surprised if reporters just read/hear things wrongly sometimes.

THE REPORTER'S CREED: "Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." :typing:

What?! You mean members of the press actually report what they hear and not what was said? I'm aghast!

Yes our Elio is on it way. Many steps in the process eh. Did you all check you email yesterday? Look here at the great newest Elio Motors release if you had not checked your Feb. 17, 2016 email
"We recently released the body framing and engine cradle design to our suppliers. The body frame is a critical part of the entire development process as it provides the foundation from which the entire vehicle is built. A strong foundation yields a strong vehicle.

Design and alignment are supremely critical when you’re developing a highly complex consumer product -- such as an Elio! Unlike assemble-yourself furniture, which comes from one company, vehicles like the Elio are assembled from components that will be made by a variety of different specialized supplier companies. Their interior trim, chassis components, electrical wiring harnesses, and other widgets must align with much more precision than the parts in your typical nightstand or bookshelf project. When you consider that in today’s auto industry, the typical gap between doors, fenders and other body panels must be as small as 3 millimeters, precision is crucial to producing a quality product.

That’s why Elio Motors’ design and engineering team has pushed so hard to complete the design release of our vehicle’s body framing and engine cradle module this week. This body framing and engine cradle module is the core or backbone upon which the rest of the vehicle is assembled and is a major milestone in being able to manufacture the vehicle. One of the best explanations of why this component is so critical comes from Gino Raffin, Elio Motors’ Vice President of Manufacturing and Product Launch."
Thank you Paul Elio and Elio Motors:D

Really? Do you remember where you saw these articles and can you post them here or link them? Just curious.
