We really do appreciate everyone posting news links in this forum and many of you already follow these instructions however we thought it would be a good idea to write these brief instructions and sticky them so it is clear what we encourage our members to do and also explain why we do things this way. 1. Before posting read the other news titles to make sure you are not posting a duplicate article. This can be especially tricky with syndicated articles, such as those from Reuters and the Associated Press, as these articles can be reprinted by hundreds of news agencies. 2. In your thread title please list the publication / air date, the news agency or web site, and the title of the article or a brief description. Following this format for the title not only does good job of letting others know what the thread is about but also helps reduce the number of duplicate threads as without making it easy to identify what the thread is about other members will post same information without realizing that there is already a thread on the subject. 3. Please post links, and not full text, of news stories. Only copy selected excerpts of the stories relevant to discussion. This is proper internet etiquette and avoids potential copyright issues as news stories are owned by the agency which publishes them and not generally reprint-able without permission. The general exception to this rule is for news and articles originating directly from Elio Motors as they generally do not mind us spreading the information however we do ask that links to the original content be included in these posts.
