Safety Reflectors?

Just spent 4 hours tonight on a dark 2 lane road. Would some type of aerodynamic reflector on the front of each fender alert approaching drivers that there's more to the Elio than what's between the headlights?

I agree, a side marker wouldn't be a bad idea at all.

If the moron coming the other direction doesn't stay in his/her lane, lights aren't going to help you.

Eric with the P5 display at Chicago alluded to a strip of fasteners and power points between the headlight and body opening for the front suspension that could be used to power up marker lights, he said that this wa something Paul asked the design team to look at.

For the retro open fender guys, you could go with a set of TireFlys, those lights you screw onto your valve stems. Quick and easy. http://www.tyreflys.com/index.php

I talked with Jerome about this issue back in January. His comment at that time was that EM were open to doing powered lights as an option but were planning on reflective tape as a default.

You can't use those on the street legally; they're considered a distraction; just like flashing lights under the car.
That's for WA state, I can't say that it's legal or illegal everywhere, but check your local laws on this subject.
Plus those TireFlys would be good from the side; not so much from the front.
Reflector tape can work, but driving lights would be bouncing all over the place.
