Hi everyone.
I am not a Elio owner, but while doing a search I found that the Suzuki Swift G10 engine is used in these unique automobiles. I am very interested in the engine used in this thread with it's IBT fuel system. I would love to get more details on this motor build. Like injectors, cam choice and engine control unit.

Unfortunately "Wheaters" seems to have disappeared. I also saw another thread on a crate motor developed around the G10 design.
Thanks... I am enjoying all the posts view thus far.

Elio had a new motor designed just for them. The GEO Metro/Swift engine was just for the early prototypes.

From what I have read it's based on the old G10 architecture, but uses variable valve timing and several other upgrades to make it work better with the Elio's lighter weight. Using a smaller displacement of .9 litters to achieve 55 horsepower and a flatter torque curve.

Wheaters is still around; from his profile "wheaters was last seen:Yesterday at 12:25 PM"
If you want to talk to him I suggest you click on his name in any thread he has an entry in, when the information window pops up, you'll see "Start a Conversation", click on that and it's like sending an email to him.
