Interesting news. I will have to find out if this effects Elio Motors or not as many states allow motorcycles to be sold directly by manufacturers.

IF it is sold as a motorcycle, which is likely, it is exempt as far as I know

does the Georgia law apply to motorcycles ? .... as of right now on the Elio website the only store in Georgia is slated for just outside of Atlanta .... if it does, Elio might want to look into setting up company stores right outside the state lines ..

overcame same problem for same reasons and resistance, but prevailed- Florida
as an aside today,9/4 tesla announced site location for their new plant in Nevada- zillions of sq feet

Based on what I can find this issue does not affect Elio Motors because, like most states, GA allows motorcycles to be sold directly by manufacturers.

The Elio vehicle has a motorcycle VIN so in GA it is officially a motorcycle. GA law exempts enclosed motorcycles from the helmet requirements and it would appear that GA law only requires a motorcycle license for motorcycles which are straddled and ridden on a saddle so it should be legal to operate with a normal class C license.
