yesterday while at Cabela's I noticed a fully decked out TRACKER 800SX CREW .... as can be seen in the link, the base price is $12,999 .... the decked out one on display has a fully enclosed, all weather cab and other options that ran the window sticker to just over $21K ..[IMG].. guess I'm much toooooo old, much tooooooo out of step with today, and much toooooo cheap .... there must be a substantial market for such a vehicle but I sure can't see it

I dont understand the 2X2 market at all. For the cost, those things last a short number of years before they become garage queens. For my money the ROXOR makes more sense and there is a 50/50 chance you could make it street legal.

I like the ROXOR too, and I don't see where it isn't street legal.
That would be a cool little in city rig.

Last July I was in Rutland, VT and there's a Mahindra dealer there. I stopped by and drove a Roxor. They converted it to street use and it had a license. They did it by registering it at a kit car and then made sure all of the lights worked. That took some work but it didn't look like much as compared to the other ones they had there. They even had a kit and could walk you through the paperwork to register it in VT. Supposedly, they have sold a bunch of them because the farmers love them as they can go from field to field tending to the cows with something that's different and works.

Yeah, how Jeep hasn't sued Mohindra over the ROXOR is beyond me. It's almost an exact copy. For that matter, I don't get why someone willing to dump $12,000 on a toy like these wouldn't just spend that same money on an actual (used) Jeep. I'm probably just out of it and there are surely reasons it makes sense to buy something almost as large as a vehicle but isn't legal on the road.

I chalk it up on people spend money on strange things. Other countries got it figured out. Just make things and Americans will buy it. I've bought things and then wondered down the road, What was I thinking? What's really bad is if you go to Shanghai. They have a fake market and trust me, it's too easy to buy a bunch of fake stuff you really don't need. You just buy it because it's cheap.

I bought a fake Beats Pill when I was there and that thing has worked like a champ. It was $5 and looks just like the real one. Then I bought a fake Tommy Bahama shirt and that lasted about 2 months. It was $10, so it all worked out. i did buy a solar powered Panda Bear that just shakes it's hips like Elvis. That thing sits on the window sill in the kitchen and it still works after 5 years. Turn on the light and it starts a rockin. I just wonder how long that $1 will last.

Willys licensed Mahindra to produce the jeep back in 1947 in perpetuity. Thats why its so similar. The Roxor is more a Willys than any Jeep being made today. The Roxor is anything but a toy. Its a beast. Well worth the money compared to other SxS. It even has the PTO that the Williys had, though they haven't exploited it yet. All of the people I know running a Roxor are using CJ and YJ accessories successfully. For sure, there are differences and updates from the Willys, but over all, its a great platform to start a build from. It is too bad that Chrysler cant just make a good affordable product rather than kicking up a fuss about Mahindra. I will say this, Mahindra is F***ing you in the patooty on accessories though...

    LOL.
Also, I didn't know that about Willys licensing Mahindra. Huh. I meant toy as in "not a daily driver" and not as being inferior in quality. I look at these like I look at the huge 3 person personal watercraft... why not just a real boat?
