Thanks everyone for all the well wishes and fun comments along the way. :)

Thanks to some changes to the project objectives my travel and work schedule has been quite hectic recently which has not left me with a lot of extra time to spend on here. :( The priorities for the project have shifted and we are being tasked with completing one part of the project as soon as possible and then we will go back and complete the rest of the project later on. What this means for me is that I am a bouncing around more as I am visiting 2-3 bases each week. These changes have also rendered all our prior scheduling useless so I do not find out my schedule for the following week until Wednesday or Thursday of the prior week which leaves me having to coordinate travel arrangements and plan the following weeks work while I am bouncing around the country while ensuring my team completes the current weeks' work.

Despite the challenges I am enjoying myself and have been able to sneak away and explore some interesting sites. This past week I was able to ride a cable car to a mountain top overlooking El Paso, visit the white sands of New Mexico and see the fun UFO tourist trap of Roswell, NM. Next week will find me starting the week by flying from Atlanta to Albuquerque then on to Colorado Springs before finishing the week, and spending the weekend, in Denver. I am already planning to drive to the top of Pikes Peak while in Colorado Springs and see a show at the Red Rocks Amphitheater while in Denver which are both items on my bucket list.:)
Don't forget the MillerCoors Brewery tour, Lookout Mountain with Buffalo Bills grave in Golden, Cave of the Winds and Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs as well as the 7 Falls and Cliff Dwellings in Between Colorado Springs and Manatou Springs on highway 24 ( I think ). There are a few of us in Denver who don't work, so if you'd like to grab a brew, give us a shout. Oh, keep in mind altitude sickness for you flat landers, so drink plenty of water, even more when you do the drive up the "Peak". Will PM you my number. Call if you want some company, Other wise enjoy our State.;)

Albuquerque? The tramway is worth a visit but my favorite area is Tent Rock... short hike but absolutely unique views. (El Pinto on 4th is my favorite restaurant)

My schedule continues to be hectic and subject to change so I have not had much of a chance to get in touch with people in the areas I am visiting however I had a good time meeting and having dinner with @ks6c and @Norahsbed while I was in Denver over this past weekend. I hope that as this project continues I will have more advanced notice so I can try and meet up with more of you along the way. :)

I am currently working east of St Louis, at Scott AFB, and enjoyed visiting the St Louis Gateway Arch for the first time this afternoon. On Thursday I fly on to Dayton, OH for some work at Wright-Patterson AFB and hopefully a return visit to the National Museum of the Air Force which is a great aviation museum which I last visited over a decade ago in 2004. Next week I have quick visits to La Crosse, WI and Rapid City, SD before finally heading home on July 2 for hopefully about two weeks of rest and recuperation time.

I am hopeful that while in Rapid City, SD I can squeeze in my first visit to Mt Rushmore as this would be a nice end to this road trip. June has been a very crazy month for me with 2-3 cities visited each week and only about 36 hours at home the entire month.:D

The pleasure was all ours G1. Mt. Rushmore is great and if you have the time Crazy Horse monument (in the same area) is coming along as well. I think I Remember someone saying there is a motor cycle museum in Sturgis.

Dang! Wish I'd known you were going to be out this way. Could've met you down at the Landing (just north of the Arch) and bought you a beer or three.

Just randomly ran into Kuda at the airport in Chicago. He recognized me as we were both eating at a restaurant there during layovers. I am glad he came up and introduced himself as I always enjoy meeting fellow Elio fans as well as putting a face with my fellow members' comments.

If you're in Dayton, I'll drive up to WP and buy you lunch.
