I have been an Elio supporter for years and never seen it in person. I wish they would make a stop in the Tampa Bay area of Florida so I can take a peak. I only drive my little 1 cylinder cars so I can't travel to the east coast of Florida when they are there.
One cylinder cars????? I've never heard of a thumper car; what is it?

It has a kick start!!
Wait, let me open the hood so I can step inside the engine compartment and start my car ...... :pound:
I wish all vehicles had a backup starter, that being said I don't think I have the leg to kick over my small block Chevy.
(FYI that was the backup starter, supposedly it had electric start.)

Hopefully, Elio will make it to Tampa. I drove down from Jacksonville, FL just to see it, touch it and sit in it. Worth the trip.

I wondered about the curious hole in the front bumper of my old Sunbeam (Hillman) Minx so I asked my mechanic who specialized in English cars. He laughed and said that was for the hand crank backup starter. Fortunately mine was missing the crank or I would have tried to use it and likely hurt myself.

As you can see in my avatar I'm driving a 1957 Isetta and 1959 Messerschmitt daily. I've had them for over 45 years. When I lived up in N.J. I even drove them in snow. I've had many other 1 cylinder cars over the years but these are my favorites.

The Elio will be a quantum leap in power. Are you sure you can handle it? :p
