Hopefully when the myelio site goes live we'll start to get a much better idea of the options available. It would be in Elio/partners/aftermarkets best interest to get that site live now, and let us configure our options. They'll get good market research data from that for free.
I agree with you about good market research data but at the same time I worry that our eyes might be bigger than our appetite and folks will potentially send false desires they really can't afford or won't buy. Kind of like the Start Engine survey to see how many would buy stock. I assume that when that feature goes live they will have to have pricing locked down or at least close so we can make an informed decision on how much we want to spend.

That head unit is exactly what I want: a simple AM/FM radio with an aux input. I don't particularly care about bluetooth. Pairing is a hassle and sound quality through a wire is better.
By now you've seen the released interior email and picture. So what are the squares below the speakers for? And what kind of radio is that?? No presets??? Might have to upgrade after all.....
I'm sure there are presets, you probably just have to cycle through rather than have separate buttons for each.

Can't say this matches my experience. I use my phone with several different wireless speakers, as well as a headset. I've only had a problem with one specific speaker. Bluetooth just works. As far as sound quality goes .. we're not talking about listening to orchestral performances on an audiophile quality system in an acoustically designed listening room. It's an inexpensive car, with an inexpensive stereo, driving down the road. If you're thinking you'll be able to tell the difference between a bluetooth connection and an aux jack, you're fooling yourself.

That necessitates some kind of shift/Mode button to switch between the different button functions. Potentially confusing for non-techies. It will be interesting to see how it works.

It will be MUCH quieter once I install all of the sound insulation. My truck's cabin is about as quiet as a Bentley and with the upgraded speakers & amplifier, the noise floor is a non-issue. It's not quite at a top level audiophile listening room level, but it's plenty good enough to hear compression artifacts from lossy codecs at low bitrates.

Speaking of floors, we haven't heard much about a belly pan these days. I DEFINITELY want one!

A "belly pan" is generally called an "aero-panel."
The last time I talked to PAUL he said "We are looking into it".
It's a belly pan to me, I'm just an antique. Last i recall they were debating between making it standard equipment (good for airflow, efficiency of cooling / heating, reduces noise) or an option for about $20. But that was a year ago.

I bet it winds up at $50, but I'll still get one. Then take it off, stuff it with an extra layer of fiberglass and put it back on again.
