No overstated here. That is from 1988. I am not counting the years of riding when I was a kid.been to the west coast 9 times. Did some crazy stuff like 1000 miles within 24 hours several times. Slowed down now. Health not as good. Finally smelling the roses. Got a little sweet border collie name Sadie . She is the love of my life.
Ride head, ride safe and always wave to kids,

I'm pretty certain Sadie would like the ride in the back seat of your new Elio! Border Collies are smarter than some people.

A man and his faithful friend, what more could you ask for except to combine them with his Elio

I would rather be with my dog then most people. That is the way I used to be about bikes. I would ride on holidays, nice winter days and nites, and on days just to get away. I have a friend that retired and had his cable cut off so he would get off his butt and stay active. I have been in every state but Hawaii and ten other countries.

And the Elio will allow those private moments in dry and air conditioned comfort. A man, his dog, and his thoughts - pretty peaceful

I have never been a MC rider. To me, the Elio shares nothing with motorcycles except the 3-wheel "loophole" thing. I mean, if I can score cheap tags and insurance and still not worry about a MC endorsement I'm all over it! But I have this nagging feeling that here in Iowa this will end up simply being classified as a car. I hope not.

But here is a simplified graphic I threw together to illustrate (because I get bored and do things like this, lol) ;)

Welcome to the forum and thank you for jumping right in the discussions. This is a great bunch of friendly helpful people and we hope you are as excited about the Elio as most of us are. Enjoy the journey with us.

I rode to public school until I entered college and after a stint in the service got back on a bike for commuting and weekends out in the dirt. Eventually I traded for a couple of smaller bikes I could hoist onto carriers on our motorhome. When those were sold after a few years, I wanted back in the wind, but having moved to Houston with all of the crazy traffic and plenty of drunks on the road, I postponed my purchase. My lady, now my wife, didn't like the idea of me riding again, and when a good friend of ours high-sided his big Yamaha when a woman pulled out in front of him, he was saved only by his gear and a lifetime of martial arts that taught him how to fall. He survived with a lot of bumps and bruises - and immediately sold his bike. At that point, my wife put her foot down. No more bikes for me.

Now she wants me to buy an Elio. Can you beat that? Well I can, my wife wants one of her own and my daughter wants one too. These women must have been closet biker chicks all along.

That's cool. My wife has been "hinting" that she might like one for herself, too
