I hate to break the news to you , but Hitler was crazy from jump street. He didn't go crazy after the power went to his head. Same with Jim Jones. People say he was crazy after the power went to his head. He was always crazy. He just had to wait until he had enough followers to execute the plan.

I hope to have mine, but if you get your Elio first, I expect a ride on the Las Vegas Strip for free, when you visit..... The biggest risk I see, after they get the 200 million, is if the car turns out to be a lemon like the Yugo. I am sure paul is aware of this , and will do his best to make sure this car is reliable, because we cant afford to have these engines go out at 20k miles.
I wouldn't say the Yugo was a lemon, it was just a cheap car. My friend bought one and drove it for six years. The only problem was that there were no parts available anymore. Since the Elio is mostly off the shelf parts there should be no problem getting them at any auto parts store for years to come when you need them.

I was reading a thread from the guy that said 200 million is a drop in the bucket, because they will lose a ton of money, and need closer to a billion. Seems like plenty to me. If they sell 40k first year at a 1k profit, thats 40,000,000 gross profit that can be used for the next year. By that time, the investors will be banging on the door, and Elio could go public with some sales and profits to show wall street. This guy doesn't know what he is talking about.

Lets take the $40 million product gross product and develop a reasonable estimate of the number of people working in the factory, in the retail stores, their salaries, executive salaries, and repayment of investment...

My 'concerns' are that Elio Motors has the resources to get this fantastic (and much needed) vehicle to PRODUCTION. I have been following them since 2009, when I first saw a news article of Paul Elio standing next to a Green 3-Wheeled P2. I do not expect Elio Motors to reveal everything about their company and their current status; but when they do..... I expect it to be 'truthful' and 'realistic'. Elio Motors showed the first 'cast' engine part at a Town Hall Meeting back in April (others have arrived since).

At a recent Town Hall Meeting August 16 2014, he said; “Q. What is the status on the IAV Motor?
A. All parts are in and are waiting for CNC shop. “ FOUR MONTHS..... and still WAITING for the cast parts to be 'machined'? IMO... a very 'low priority'.... or don't have the FUNDS to pay for the work! Making 25-30 IAV Engines and "E" Series vehicles..... and TESTING them..... by 3rd Qtr 2015 seems to be IMPOSSIBLE.... at their 'current rate of PROGRESS'!

Have you considered that EM has been truthful and realistic however things have just not worked out the way they planned?

We know that EM had a major delay with the plant that also caused them to have to start a round of funding all over again as what they had done last year was contingent on getting that plant last year but that did not happen due to interference from outside forces. It is very possible that at that time the 3rd QTR of 2015 was announced in May that it was a realistic target date based on the information they had and the knowledge they had about the funding process from the previous year.

Maybe the 3rd QTR of 2015 still is possible as we don't know all the details and maybe it is not at this point however that is just the way these large projects with many moving parts go sometimes. In these large complex projects just because things do not work out does not necessarily mean that anyone was lying or being unrealistic.

I think by April of 2015 if NOTHING is going on at the GM plant you can kiss the Sept. '15 production goodby.
Another think I don't look for anything to get done until Elio has 60,000 buyers PLUS on the books.

I still don't think it unreasonable to think they can build At least a dozen testable 'E" series by mid to end Nov. The ride & drives & touring P5's can come later. They should be able to gain the data needed to begin the line setup & hiring, & so on. Any positive moves in this direction will do nothing but boost reservations & further solidify investor confidence.
No need to throw the baby out with the bath water quite yet................ :)

As we've said before, unless there is some dramatic shift in the testing schedule,
the puzzle pieces will start falling into place. I will do the happy dance when Elio
