All that banter is fine and dandy Folks. But if you are going off on a rant, start a new thread and post the topic so we all can choose to read it or skip it. But you don't need to jump into a thread that has nothing to do with whatever soap box you need to jump on, and go off on a tangent.
YOu mean it would take a rant and a soap box for me to get a few simple point across I don't agree. I've only made a few simple easily understood points here. I actually made my point long ago. I don't perceive you as doing anything to my Cherrios either. LOL It's the significance you completely missed here. If I were to say what the prezzz did night before last was electric? Would that do it? Sorry that you perceive this as a rant. It is so much more than That. LOOK out!!!!! there is someone trying to break into your house!!!!! Oh, wait a minute, this is not on topic. LOL

This is a long thread that has beat to death the subject of electric vehicles and electric elio in particular, but the most interesting subject is the first paragraph of the first post. That is, the Ryden dual carbon battery. It lies somewhere between 'astonishing' and 'too good to be true' The institution developing it is suppose to be very reputable. It generates no heat and thus does not need the internal cooling apparatus inside other battery packs. It has many other very good qualities. If this pans out, it is the break through needed. Electric vehicles will become so dominate, it may be difficult to find gas stations in the future. (Not good for me since I have 8 cars and 6 motorcycles).

I am an electrical engineer (EE) and only other EEs will see the significance of this.

Yes now all we need is an inside man who is an Electrochemical engineer to explain it. What you've said here has really peaked my curiosity. Thanks.

I remain convinced that both eddie 66 and I are really nice guys. Sorry we disappoint. LOL
Hey, Folks! Yes, I can vouch for you and eddie66, and the authenticity of you both: you've BOTH ALWAYS been " nice guys." :)

But, Folks, old proverb says; "when we piss into the wind, chances are we WILL get wet."

Think maybe it's time to put this thread to bed?

Please note that I left the "but" in your quote out. The "but" in your quote is misplaced. When someone can make a simple statement of fact not opinion and it turns into banter may I suggest that the author is not the one bantering or stirring the pot! Announcing one's house is on fire is appropriate anywhere it's uttered. I'll do my part about no further comments if we all agree on that.

Truthfully I'm a little concerned for a guy not smart enough figure the problem he's going to have by pissing into the wind in the first place. He seems a little challenged to me. Oh Don't spit into the wind either or out your partially opened car window either. Heck I guess I'll have to confess to doing that more than once. Maybe those who take issue with my rather simple statement of fact should take the polite suggestion of others here and start a thread for all the bantering.
The only real pissing going on here, not a metaphor, is the Pres pissing on every law abiding citizen here. I might have to look it up but I think that is worse than pissing into the wind. The people that think it's just rain are the ones that need advice.

to be clear, I'm not an EE nor do I play one on TV .... I'd never heard of a Ryden Dual Carbon Battery until reading this thread .... thanks to Google, I've learned just enough to know that this battery seems to hold the potential to be a major advance .... although I want no part of another electric street legal vehicle (1 was plenty), they may be a good solution for others .... thanks for bringing up the topic, I learned something today

Sorry you got bit Jim. Not buyer either. That said if the dual carbon battery also remedies the initial buy in expense plus battery replacement cost I might soften up a little. Even if they claim of no over heating problems they'd have to prove a crash would not cause a short. Shorts on any kind on an E auto are scary as hell.
