I thought a thousand was considered "all in". Am I wrong?

there are four ($1,000/$500/$250/$100) categories of both "All In" and "Want In" .... the $1,000 All In is the only one that gets a production number .... all of the All In categories get a shirt and bumper sticker for more info go to this link at Elio Motors and click on Reserve Your Elio Today

Waiting for my t shirt that probably won't fit and my bumper sticker :D.

Paul I'd you're reading this...talk to your marketing about throwing an extra X on the shirt selection.

Not all your fans are Starbucks slurping twig people :D.

My daughter in law just bought the smaller Subaru model with the Eyesight. I have to say, after taking a test drive and seeing what it can do, I'd have a hard time buying a new 4-wheel vehicle without such a system. The safety implications are astounding.

We pulled out onto a traffic-choked interstate and set the speed for 60. Could we go 60? Nope, but Eyesight kept us at a safe distance from the next car and moving along at the speed of traffic. When another car entered down a ramp, it automatically slid back to maintain a safe distance from the new car. As traffic thinned and sped up, we gradually reached 60. And when traffic moved faster, we stayed at 60. When things thickened up again, it brought us right down to the speed of traffic, keeping a few car lengths back. We even turned off onto a ramp and I drove right up behind a car at a stoplight without ever touching the brake. It was just amazing.

It showed me that self-driving cars, at least for the Interstate, can't be far off.

My little year 2000 Suzuki Swift 1.0 (think previous Elio prototype engine) has been off the road since last spring when my daughter decided she didn't like to learn to drive in it. It's very different from the diesel engined Nissan she is driving on her "official" lessons with a professional instructor. In particular, she couldn't cope with the indicator stalk being on the opposite side of the steering column; it was causing her to get it wrong on her lessons and use the wipers instead of indicating....

As it was surplus to daily requirements I let the insurance, MOT and road tax expire and informed the authority of same (declare SORN, statutory off road notice, as we have to do in UK, or risk a fine). However, it's far too good a little car to sell, not worth much money despite only 20k miles on it and in any case, I like it too much to let go!

I decided to check it over a couple of days ago as it hadn't run for months. The battery was dead. However, an overnight charge fixed that and afterwards the little car fired up first turn of the key. What a sweet little car this is. I might bring it out of hibernation for the coming winter and keep the miles off my BMW.
Wise man you are.

My 'Stang is still not fixed (still working on getting the H & R perp's insurance) so I bought a 2000 Malibu w' 183K for $1445.

I'm going to look at a decent newly inspected '04 Malibu (identical) w' 103K tomorrow for $1250.
That's less than half of it's BB Value.

I bought a used Harbor Freight 10' x 17' portable garage last week for $50 to be township politically correct in storing one.
I figure that I won't have to "learn" a different car when the first one wears out and I break the second out of storage.
Plus any add-ons, still decent tires, or needed parts can be transfered to the second one when I've worn out the first.

Both Malibus are 6-banger automatics.

So I'm looking forward towards retirement in a few years and gearing up for the long (EM) haul.
Even If I have to sell one or two of these, at these prices I'm certainly not going to loose anything in the process.

Obviously, I'm kinda impressed with the Malibu. But in driving and handling, there's no comparison with the Mustang.
The 'Stang just kicks the living snot out of it.
