I might be something with the lense they're using on the picture. I noticed EM does take a lot of "fish-eye" lense pics for effect.

I doubt anyone is actively trying. I suppose someone with the fabrication skills could create a Elio like vehicle. Or someone with $ could pay someone to do it.

Talent and equipment out there if the cash was there a lot of groups could put one together in a short time. Just look at some of the stuff they build now from bikes to Autos

While it may not be up to show room qualities, a Elio wouldn't be that much more of a challenge!
