So, how far do you commute, round trip, each day?

I've been doing about 50 for the last 13 years but I'm afraid that's about to double!
Hurry Paul, hurry!

I am doing about 140 round trip every day...and I am driving a 19 mpg F-150 Lariat. I have put 120K miles on it in 3 years...I bought it new in 2010. The savings in gas and less wear and tear on my truck would be great. I am ready for the Elio.

Got my '98 Chevy Z71 parked in the basement. It only does about 14 mpg. Just sold my daily driver, an '02 Monte Carlo SS.

40 miles/day, 4 days a week, 2010 Tacoma Prerunner DC 4.0L AVG 300mi/17gal
I know that doesn't sound like many miles, but I still manage to require a 1 1/2 tanks of fuel per week. I even keep the tach under 2,000rpm on take off and Hwy speeds. The mileage on this truck is HORRIBLE!!!

the money your going to save in fuel will easily pay for your Elio. Way Cool!

52 miles each way. 2009 Nissan Altima Hybrid avg 32 mpg. 175k on the clock at $3.50/gal $19,000 + in lifetime fuel costs. At 80 mpg the Elio would have saved about $11,400 in fuel costs over the last 4 years!

My commute was only 22 miles per day (to and from work). As of the 31st of this month I will only drive when I want to. Retirement is almost here and "I WANT MY ELIO!!!!!". Sorry about that, us old people hate to wait on anything. We never know how much longer we have. Rest assured if I haven't cashed my chips in before I go to pick up my Elio I will make my first trip a cross country trip from LA to CA and back home to MD. Heck I am, soon to be, retired I can bum around for the rest of my life if I like. Now how cool is that???

I drive anywhere from 80 to 120 miles in a day depending on what site I work at, driving a beat up 2005 Ford Focus with 232,000 miles on it getting 29 mpg, I use about 21 gallons of gas a week. Since most of my commute is highway miles I am looking forward to cutting that fuel usage in half. My Focus has been good to me but I am looking forward to a shiny new Elio in my driveway.

At $3.50 per gallon I will save $1,200.00 per year in fuel cost and that's with an 08 Nissan Sentra bought new (I get 30-34 mpg average).. Right now it has 122,500 miles on the odometer..
