But...for a company that was found in 2008...I too question why there is not a fully operational specification ready test mule equipped with all the promised features already in existence...
One could argue that they are currently testing an engine that is designed specifically for the Elio Vehicle...but this is a R&D project that should have been finished years ago...and the engine represents only a small percentage of all the remaining R&D and component integration to bring this vehicle to market...
I would love to own an Elio Vehicle...I think it's a wonderful small volume niche vehicle...I guess time will tell whether it ever reaches the production phase...
you continue to relate experience gained through working in major industry with a corresponding of level of funding, staffing, and resources .... in response, it has been repeatedly noted that EM does not fit that mold .... it is a small, start-up company that is operating with limited resources .... as such, your statements are true but don't apply .... the fact is, they have shown progress in going from P1, P2, P3, and P4 generations .... since like us you are on the outside looking in and do not have access to anything other than publicly released info .... your assumption as to the company's level of R&D is based on guesswork, not on knowledge .... to gain a better understanding (if that is your goal), you might consider making the effort to visit the Elio Tour where you can speak with folks in the know .... as noted, time will tell
