It should be less time than for conventional vehicles because nearly all of the options are done post production instead of various packages within the assembly line and reduced mechanical complexity.

There's probably plenty of that to do, though. Depending on the level of maintenance the 'bots have had since the plant closed, there's going to be a lot of refurb going on, not to mention retooling and training them once the design is set. Without that, the first few Elios off the line might look a lot like like three-wheeled Hummers.

I'm sure Paul had his office painted and moved in the comfy chair.There's probably plenty of that to do, though.
