Watching it climb that fast in that short of a time with that few people makes me believe some of it has got to be bogus.

Yes, it makes you wonder. If so that's slightly self defeating, only interested people would do that ( I would guess ) and it kind of defeats the clarity of the success.

But it's still at 5019, so people are upping their amounts.

I agree, 20mil by midnight is possible. But the east coast should start falling off here in a few hours as bed-time clocks in. And somebody just has to go party for Friday night, yes?

Not trying to be a "debbie downer" here but isn't that $19,388,875 just cheap talk at this point? How do you know these individuals will actually belly up with the real thing ? $I know the devoted members of this website (including me if I could afford it) would come through, but surely there are many others that have discovered startengine from other sources. Look at the bullcrap that went down with the voting on the color of the P5. Seems like getting over excited about that 19mil is a bit premature. Okay, let me have it.....

We don't know much of anything really, this is pretty much a totally new kind of thing. Slightly a new crowd funding scenario. And as such hopefully that kind of tactical activity isn't used much yet.

Honestly, this forum represents a very small percentage of the dedicated whole population. 5k members and (not everyone has a reservation 1:1) vs nearly 45000 reservations ( admittedly some people like me have multiple )

One day it may shake out that you will need to give up a dollar to take a funding reservation on such a website. But that's just a thought of mine alone.

Now at $19,406,375 ...5022 res. (my time 4pm) could break 20mil tonight if it follows how yesterday went which was around 600k in the last 6hours of the day. And then it did another 100k by morning. See you all at 9pm (my time)

We'll know for sure when the rubber hits the road, (PI) i.e., Elio files & reservationists pony up
the cash for shares in this remarkable start-up adventure. The barn door closed on Microsoft
& Apple & Tesla for the little guy, not so Elio!

Yep, that guy is about as careful and forth coming as Elio is. Which is very carefully stated and nothing solid, until it is.

I wish they had a question asking or better yet a way to know if the person has a reservation ... I tend to have more confidence in commitments made by folks who do

Not everyone will follow through with their pledge. You can bet on about 30% changing their minds for some reason. But ,this fund raising concept is better than a sharp stick in the eye. It has merit. It has life. Go Elio.

I think you are right. On the other hand, I can see (probably) an equal percentage, who will UP their pledge. I would bet that someone, somewhere, has actual statistics.
