1. Someone over on ElioMotors Facebook suggested a write in to DoE and the ElioMotors ID said don't do it and implied that DoE was pretty much a done deal. (Note the use of implied.)
2. I'm not panicked, but what seems truthful to you seem like yelling "fire" in a theater to me.
3. It is financial penalties in the contract with RACER Trust, not fines. But that's like any contract. Subject to re-negotiation.

Thanks for the reference.
What was the date of that FB posting regarding DOE? Recent?

Did I read somewhere that the DoE tries hard to keep politics out of it's business?
I know,, like trying to keep politics out of a forum. and trying to get "the public" to do anything is hard.
I remember not many voted on that ?vote.gov? thing a while back.
Heck, the real politics was getting the DOE Alternative Energy/ATVM Low Interest Loan Program Funded and then Refunded in the first place. It's a DOE Program that received bi-partisan approval..........something we don't see anymore. Now it's simply allowing the DOE to approve the program's fund balance to applicants meeting the requirements for loan approval.

State Politicians certainly play a role in getting behind a company having major economic impact to their individual States economy. I ass-u-me that the State of Louisiana's Representatives have and will continue to lobby the DOE for EM's Loan approval. However, it ain't gonna happen (and frankly should not happen) until after the P5 build and testing verifies EM's claims in their application.

I hate to say this, but I don't neccessarily believe EM's postings regarding in the bag funding based on their previous statements regarding in the bag funding. Only after I read DOE funding approved and it's in the bag...........I mean bank........will I believe it.

Not sure that you know what the requirements are and I know after spending a bunch of time looking that I don't. I also know I read a report (which I can no longer find) where one company complained that DOE kept playing with the requirements until they were bankrupt. But then I don't trust governmental agencies while one bureaucrat is breathing.

I remember seeing the post, though I did not interpret the thread and EM's response to imply at all that anything was in the bag. I took it as EM thought it would hurt their chance (it's not a popularity contest) and was politely but firmly telling the poster to butt out.

I was doing a little browsing in DOE trying to find the testimony I mentioned (John Painter says Aptera) when I came across the DOE requirements for the DoE ATVM UEV loan. I didn't bore down all the way, but this is the primary requirements document.

no wonder it takes a while to process .... if as we have been told, EM's legal team has submitted all of the required info, its clear they have a complex plan (to which none of us have access to) in place
