My first car was a '58 MG-A, and a worse piece of junk was never built. I used to carry a jar of kerosine in the trunk because every time it rained hard the distributor would get wet and the thing would quit. Only way to quickly dry it out was pour kerosine over it. What should one expect from a car where you open the door by reaching inside and pulling a string! Enough, this is about Elios not British automotive failures. :D
Thbe MGB-s were a lot better -- but still had plenty of quirks.

The one color I'm surprised they are not offering is a bright yellow. On small cars especially it makes them easier for other drivers to see.

I understand yellow is the most expensive color to make, and that that's why EM isn't using it. I'd pay $50 extra for a really hot yellow.

Do you suppose the take into account that people generally buy whatever is on the lot, and don't really get to choose their own color choice? (Or, rather, choose from beyond the limited stock on hand.) When we bought our Grand Caravan, the dealer told us that Dodge made all the dealers pre-order their entire year's stock of 2015 Grand Caravans before the end of January 2015. So the color mixture of cars bought that year doesn't depend on the buyer's preference, but on what the dealerships ordered.

We got black for our minivan because it's the color they had with the options we wanted, but I really wanted that Dodge Red. :)

How about snakeskin pearl green : (MOPAR, baby !!)
I like that one.

This is where you have the option after you take delivery to 1) have it painted 2) have it body wrapped in yellow.
If you see in my little description below I want mine in flat black; I want the stealth look on mine :thumb:

That's the thing about Elio's, the marshaling centers won't have a lot of cars stock piled; one or two for test drives and that's it. The Elio's are all built "custom" for each person. They have said that you could go to the marshaling center, order your Elio and have it the next day.
I do question the "next day" delivery, but I can realistically see 3 days.

with the only factory installed options being color and AMT/Manual transmission, EM should be able to roll out an appropriate trike almost as fast as the order comes in the door .... it would appear likely that after a while they will have sufficient data to reasonably project a normal day's numbers for each color and transmission .... having the appropriate parts waiting at the marshaling centers will probably be more complicated

Reason I said 3 days is what it will take shipping time from the factory.
I agree with the accessories market; that will take a while to work the bugs out.

three days from the date of order sounds more than reasonable to me .... compared to the rest of the industry a week would be a major improvement
