I've asked people from EM that exact same question and they don't have an answer. So where on the time line do you think they'll drop the incentives?

They would probably lose their deposit, and it would be sold to the next person wanting that color. So is there a difference between taking reservations on the EM website and taking sold orders on the website? Right now it's reservations, once these orders are filled then it would be sold orders being handled from the website? Customers that are not near a retail store go on line order and perhaps pay and then take delivery at a retail store. I can't see someone ordering and then paying when they get to the retail store, what would happen if they backed out and the car is sitting there?
In the following interview from the 2016 January Detroit auto show, Paul Elio starts at 8:30 to describe the manufacturing rate. At 8:53 he says they will produce 19,000 vehicles in the first 3 months and 1,000 vehicles per day after that, which is a final rate of 250,000 vehicles per year.Paul Elio said in one of his interviews back in 2014 that 250,000 is total capacity for Shreveport and it would take several years, not months, to get to that which is still ambitious - though Ford far out produces that just for F150.
PE has always said something like that, he's talking about what they will be capable of, not what they will be doing. Big difference. He has said previously it would take several years to get to full capacity. In the following interview from the 2015 January Detroit auto show, Paul Elio starts at 8:30 to describe the manufacturing rate. This is in keeping with what he told me several months ago when I met him at LA.

2014 was a while ago in terms of how far they've gotten along. They are closer now, and details are beginning to emerge has plans clarify. I would be kind of suspicious about info from dates earlier than say 4or 5 months ago.Paul Elio said in one of his interviews back in 2014 that 250,000 is total capacity for Shreveport and it would take several years, not months, to get to that which is still ambitious - though Ford far out produces that just for F150.
So if I don't pre-order a vehicle and just wait to go to the store to buy one, how much longer am I going to have to wait to get one? I know everyone who pre-ordered is gonna get theirs first, and that's fine, but I'd just like an idea of how much longer I'll have to wait.
four or five months if there aren't a huge number of orders right away. If there are then much longer. If they actually make 250,000 cars the first year (doubtful), it could take as long as 12 months for you to get yours depending on when you put your order in.So if I don't pre-order a vehicle and just wait to go to the store to buy one, how much longer am I going to have to wait to get one?
