Politically compromised scientists. Science isn't what it used to be, That is, ambivalent toward pressure groups and outcomes of well conceived (unbiased) experiments.

Today's "scientists" tend to have an answer in search of a well manicured and shaped question. Often because the desired answer is being FUNDED rather than a question.

For this reason, the science in this debate between ICE and Electric is not credible because it has been compromised by politics.

I like Sethodine's take. Get what is economically and practically best for your situation. But please don't try to use compromised and flawed science as an argument.

My 2 favorite quotes: "Don't Believe Everything You Think". & "We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are."

I accept Sethodine's logic for choosing electric's. My take on ICE and Electric is that there is a need for both based on whatever an individual's logic is for choosing one over the other.......more economical, good for the environment, sustainable transport, or performance based. I see no reason to make it an ICE vs Electric debate. My interest in Electric's and ICE vehicles has nothing to do with believing 'all' scientific studies and/or corporate research.

You mention political involvement. Where would Elio Motors, Tesla Motors, and the auto industry in general be without the necessary politics behind them.......legislation, ATVM Loans, Tax Credits, and the economic development incentives package in EM's contract with the Caddo Parrish. It's good for all, even hard core skeptics like me.

While I have no problem with most of what you said, I take exception to the last part.
Elio Motors does not have a contract with Caddo Parish.
The agreements are with the RACER Trust.
