Originally the E-series was to be assembled by the same company that built the P-series, but their highly experienced personnel make the cost expensive.

So EM put together their own team of more affordable personnel.

I know it's probably too simple, but the first E-series Photos showed black panels and the recent ones show white panels. Is this paint? Or could One be interior while the other is exterior? Or could there be more than one being assembled?

I work in theory and am totally inept when it comes to hands on.

From my experience with smart...the black, white, red and yellow panels are MIC (molded in color) the rest are painted black panels.
I would venture a guess that Elio will do something similar

...But we saw them painting the panels white???? These are the fer-real-deal production panels (needed for accurate mileage/crash testing) so I don't think these will be MIC. Unless perhaps the color is Black.

The original pictures of the 'E' series were pictures of the frame which were painted.
The latest picture is of body panels being applied on top of the frame.
These were also painted. (Pictured were shown of them in the paint shop.)
Elio explained that the color wouldn't be molded into the body panels quite a while ago.
It goes back to when they were explaining the colors were limited to the number of paint booths.

The rear shock is height adjustable and it looks like the front is too.

I wonder if shocks on the production version will also be adjustable.

It'd be nice if all three shocks were progressive.

Doubt it. As I mentioned in this post, the adjustable shocks and adjustable suspension pushrods up front means they haven't settle on final geometry and ride height. So they haven't selected off-the-shelf shocks yet. When it's actually "production ready", those things will not be adjustable (at least not without paying extra for an option).

Remember lighting and angle can play tricks on your eyes.

I did get those........must have had a "senior" moment
