No, they will not change it; you'll get the Elgin, like it or not. If you don't like it, don't buy the Elio; that plain and simple.
The Elgin dash is a commemorative to Paul's father; when Paul was younger he remembers his dad wore a watch like that and it reminds him of the good times with him.

Elio Motors is quite aware that a number of people don't like the Elgin; they have been asked about it upteen times, and the answer is always the same.
That's why I came up with an aftermarket solution to replace it with after you take delivery.
