Is 139db loud enough for you? And I'm pretty sure they'll fit.View attachment 11598

I like the "Compact Snail" for fit quip :thumb:

I have the Stebel Nautilus on my KLR650 and it startles the inattentive back to reality. Their reaction comes in 2 stages:

1. I think I just crapped myself.
2. What made that noise? Can't be the motorcycle...

Sometimes I get a third reaction, where they gesture that I'm #1, but by then at least they are aware of my presence and haven't run me over.

Are rear windows the type that open, or are they fixed (Glued in).
For safety reasons, opening rear windows should be STANDARD as they can in a accident be pushed/pryed open/removed.

Many first responders carry an automatic center punch. One press against the tempered side glass and it's gone. Problem solved.

Yes they do, but normal people do not.
They reason I'm of the opinion rear opening pop-out windows should be standard is multifold:

Increased ventilation.
Psychologically they calm the rear passenger. (They won't feel trapped as much.)
In a wreck a pop-out window that is on hinges could be removed by passers-by.
(A rock, or tools to break window may not be present, additionally not busting the glass keeps the entrapped person calmer.)

Rear pop outs would be a very nice touch. With 2 latches, 4 hinges, added labor, just a guess, add 20 to the manufacture cost.
I would pay triple that price for this feature.

Thank you.
I came here as I am interested in the ELIO hoping to get info, and the reason I post in the manner I do is that I am hoping that someone at ELIO reads one of my idea's and says.
Hey we should implement some of this guy's ideas... It would make for a better product, and it would result in increased sales.

I really am hoping the Elio does succeed.

Here's one of my ideas that would.save ELIO tons of money, make it appeal to more people: http://elioowners.com/threads/jeff-johnson-interview-autoline-after-hours-347-9-16-16.7753/page-19

I like your enthusiasm...however, one of the big differences (from traditional US automakers) that EM wants to implement is " buying only the accessories that you actually want." That is what really "appeals to me!" IIRC, only about 10% of the reservations are for the manual transmission. So, adding a stick shifter and clutch pedal and a switching mechanism to every vehicle, would simply be adding unwanted expense to 90% of the buyers. There is also the increased liability, as there will be someone who blames their accident on... "I thought I was pushing the brake pedal!" Just my 2 cents.
