That's true, However, I would like to see someone with grease on their hands from turning wrenches. And the implied question was, "Where are the promised 100 fleet vehicles? I count 10 working days left to produce them.
If you missed it; EM announced the 100 were moved to Q3 of next year; it was in one of the emails from 3 or 4 weeks ago.

And seeing someone with grease on their hands from working on the Elio? He'd be the one I want to talk to; he would have first hand knowledge of the Elio, and be able to answer some of the questions no one else could.

A little nostalgia going on here. Back in the old drive in movie days. During the intermissions, Does anyone remember the boring little stick figure guy slowing eating popcorn out of a generic box and then flashing the "8 more minutes to till show time" giving the projectionist time to rewind and change the reals. Well that's about the equivalent of Elio's announcement that BASF will be our paint supplier in my book. Who cares at this point.
Talking about old; does anyone remember the war story about BASF way back in WWII? Maybe we can provide some more trivia type entertainment during our wait for the loan approval.

A few years ago, when the body panels were going to be some type of composite instead of steel, EM said the painting would be a "dry process".More eco friendly, and economical. Like you, I don't care who provides the paint. IMO, I would like to know what the pot holes and stumbling blocks are holding back the 100 fleet vehicles I know funding is a big part of it, but why make a statement public about those 100 Elios for real world testing, if you were not sure it could happen? I guess my question is, what can we {myself included} believe from EM statements and claims? I still want one though.;)

Wow, amazing what I still do not know.
So I'll never look at Aspirin or Elio paint jobs the same again.

Bosch signed on today; the article is in a different thread called .............. Bosch signs on!
Pretty original huh?
I'm just full of trivia. so it seems. The Boches was a derogatory name given to the Germans during both world wars.
I think it's pronounced the same as Bosch. LOL

That they are still "thinking forward" and "moving forward."

What would you think if they had the 100 vehicles made and still had NO suppliers willing to commit?
Good question outsydthebox. I think if Elio had 100 vehicles, suppliers would be knocking their door down trying to wrap up as much of their business as possible. At that point, it would be obvious to suppliers that Eilio WILL happen, and be the greatest thing in personal transportation, possibly in history. It seems they have suppliers at this point, but not 100 Elios. We live fairly close to each other. Maybe we could meet up for lunch sometime in Oak Ridge? PM me if you're interested.:D
