Don't forget people who are just starting off whether it be college students or simply kids moving out of their parent's home. Some don't have the best credit and being able to get a car via the credit card may be just what they need to survive. For every successful used car purchase, there are probably several that end up costing a lot in maintenance and unexpected failures. Many would probably love to be in a car they perceive as thrifty and reliable (Elio will get a bye for a while on reliability and if they prove reliable, could become quite popular)
Yeah... I agree, but how many in that demographic are really focused on the long game and not just the 'here and now'?
Namely eventual gas savings compared to the difference between a great find @ ~$2000 and a $150/mo ongoing payment.
There is both Ying and Yang here. Because of an untried product, the apparent lack of younger interest, and the track record...
At this point, I think it will sell, but I just don't think it will produce the universal 'gotta have' reaction that some folks are expecting.

Here's a little hope:
SEC eyes more flexibility for IPOs

Hoping to spur more initial public offerings, which have fallen by nearly 50% since the late 1990s, the SEC is weighing a deregulatory move that would permit all companies to stage private talks with investors before announcing they will sell stock, WSJ reports.

The step would boost an earlier action that allows firms to keep sensitive financial filings under wraps if they don’t go through with their IPO.

Sounds interesting but since Elio already did an IPO to years ago, I don't see how this would help.

Data temporary unavailable since 9:30. It is blank.
I think that is working but no trades. 30 day average went from 40,000 to 3000 and is dropping. Will get some movement during court case , if it is not postponed on the 27th. Will get lots of action April 30 when SEC report comes out. I think it will go below a dollar then.

If I remember correctly...StartEngine raised more than $15 million from approximately 6,600 investors...IPO price was $12...stock price than skyrocketed past $50...

Wow...now at $2.87...
