Perhaps this is just more "fake news"? It's sad that it appears they were asking the Chinese to invest with the promise of jobs and citizenship while American jobs were moving overseas. What is wrong with these people? Oh, sorry, I forgot, they are politicians who know what is best for us. Right?

I thought this company was dead a few years ago. I guess not. I do know they were on the ATVM loan bandwagon and always getting closer to getting it, yet never did. It was a smoke and mirrors operation. They announced production back in 2015 but I don't think they ever delivered one. Originally it was to be a lead acid battery but by the time they announced that, technology was way ahead of that, so it was going back to the drawing board and then they were trying to use POS Chinese cars for their EV.

They are part of what I call the "green generation". It all had to be about green technology or some super duper mileage (i.e. Carbon Motors). Then they all were waiting for the government to foot the bill with all of these wild ideas that probably were never going to work anyway. Carbon Motors thought that a 335D driveline was going to be their salvation due to it's performance vs mileage. We are lucky that never went through because those cars today are a disaster due to the emission controls failing and costing thousands to fix.
